Financial Institutions (FI) focuses on further increasing GBI's cooperation with its core relationship banks, covering both developed and emerging markets. FI pursues to broaden GBI's worldwide correspondent network in line with the requirements of the Bank's Trade Finance, Treasury and Private Banking activities. The Division also supports the business lines by exploring and facilitating new areas of mutual business interest.

Parallel to the Bank's steady growth in its core business lines, its transaction volumes increase significantly, further enhancing GBI's relationship with its valued correspondent banks. In an environment where the investors are becoming more selective, GBI benefits from its excellent level of risk perception within international banking community.

FI plays a key role in keeping GBI' s counterparts, investors and rating agencies informed about the developments within the Bank and maintaining close communication with them. Providing reliable and up-to-date information about the Bank' s activities and transmitting financial reports & presentations, FI promotes the Bank' s reputation globally. Besides the bank relations function, FI is also responsible for coordinating and arranging the Bank' s major funding projects such as syndications, securitizations and subordinated debts.
