Position Financing

This product is mainly required by international commodity traders. At the time of the utilization, the subject commodity would not yet be sold to a third party. Nevertheless, the trader has proven its ability to market such commodity within a short period. In these transactions, the trader -together with GarantiBank International NV- is explicitly exposed to market risk related to the subject commodity in addition to the usual counterparty risk.

Upon evaluation of the subject commodity, respective market situation and taking adequate collateral documentation, GarantiBank International NV may provide position financing to its valued clients. Position financing may be utilized under the credit limits of our valued clients with specific reference to TRM-2, TRM-4 and TRM-6 of Transaction Risk Matrix

The risk assessments and respective structuring of the subject transaction are made by our Trade & Commodity Finance Teams in close cooperation with our valued clients. The goal is simple: To mitigate the risks and to benefit from international trade opportunities.
